About Michael Krikorian

I received my Master’s Degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University in 1974.  In  1976, I earned my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California.  I worked in a variety of public agencies over the years since then including Sonoma County Mental Health, Sonoma County Alcohol and Other Drug Services, Juvenile Probation Camp and several adolescent residential treatment programs.  Over the years I have sought specialized training in couples therapy, psychodynamic therapy, adolescent therapy, addiction treatment, relapse prevention and Neurolinguistic Programming.

In 1981, I added a part-time private practice as an MFT to my agency work here in Sonoma County.  I went to a full-time private practice in 2006.  Since the 1990’s, I have been an active member of the Redwood Empire Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

On a personal note, I am married and have lived with my family in beautiful Sonoma County for many years.  I love playing music, hiking, biking and photography.  I never tire of exploring and advocating for nature in all of its wonder and beauty.
